Scroll Air Compressor

Scroll compressors operate using two spiral-shaped elements: one remains stationary while the other orbits inside it. This movement traps air pockets and shrinks them toward the center, where the air is discharged. Since the spirals don't touch, no lubrication is required in the compression path. These are praised for being incredibly quiet and having very few moving parts, which translates to high reliability.
